The Choice We Make Every Morning (without realizing it)…

5:00am

5:01am

I slowly force myself out of bed after realizing my mind control methods of turning off the alarm clock are clearly not working…

At this moment I have a choice…

Should I go back to bed for thirty minutes?

I mean honestly what is thirty minutes anyways?

I did go to sleep late yesterday…

Rest is super important and I only got 7 hours…

Or...

Should I just start dominating my day now?

Let me think about this some more after I head to the bathroom…

Well since I’m already here in the bathroom I might as well take a shower…

*5 minute cold shower later*

Feeling better, I start meditating, stretching, doing some secret focus exercises, journaling, visualization and next thing you know…

6:25am

I glare at my iPhone for telling me something I was not ready to hear…

What’s its problem anyway?

I take out my daily planner…

It’s time to workout.

Or is it?

Should I take a nap instead?

I mean I’m still sore from yesterday’s workout…

PAUSE!

Have you ever been in a similar situation?

Feeling like even though some days everything seems to go smoothly, others feel like an all out war…

Despite years of building an optimal morning routine, that prepares me for all the challenges I have to face in a typical day…

It’s still hard…

It’s still frustrating…

It’s still challenging…

We all feel like this sometimes.

In this type of moment in your life you have an simple, yet challenging choice to make:

(a) Step forward into growth vs. (b) Step backward into mediocrity

So what’s it going to be sport?

Take some time to really think about this…

Do you want a mediocrity filled life?

Do you want average?

Do you want ‘good’?

Understand that if you go down this path, it's perfectly fine. No hard feelings.

However, my intention is not to fill your brain with more words and information.

If you want to continue walking on the edge and listening to one more podcast, another article and mental masturbating then stop reading now.

This is not for you, i'm serious.

However, if you chose option (a) then you are in the right place.

I am committed to  living life as a creator, not a victim. If you are still reading, I have a feeling that you are as well.

Now, let's continue.

The Future:

Creating a vision that inspires you in this exact moment..

Actualizing your unique purpose and potential…

Getting better every single day and falling in love with the process…

And most importantly doing it with a grin on your face as you get closer and closer to your personal greatness?

Just writing all that inspires me and ALMOST brings a small salty tear into my left eye.

(Back to my morning)

Almost 6:30am.

So what’s it going to be?

Let’s look at the facts…

I don’t feel like working out and I want to go back to sleep.

This is super important so listen up…

Who gives a FVCK if you feel like it or not?

Feelings come in go just like the weather does, you have no control over either…

You only have control over your behaviors…

Your commitment to working out that you established…

Whether you WANT to or NOT is beside the point.

At this very moment, at 6:30 am I made a decision.

I chose willpower. I chose success. I remained in integrity with myself.

I trusted myself.

I took action.

I worked out.

Let’s get some quotes out the way…

“Perhaps the most valuable result of all education, is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not; it is the first lesson which ought to be learned, and, however early a man’s training begins, it is probably the last lesson which he learns thoroughly.” –Professor Huxley ‘An Iron Will’

Here’s another piece of value for you:

“I don’t do more, but less, than other people. They do all their work three times over: once in anticipation, once in actuality, once in rumination. I do mine in actuality alone, doing it once instead of three times.” – Orison Marden

Such a powerful insight, hopefully, hope this hits home as it did for me…

We as Bold Wolves have honor our commitments whether we want to or not. Stop thinking about whether you should or you shouldn’t and just do it.

Science has shown research on how willpower is the greatest predictor of achieving our goals and aspirations.

That deserves a reread, or three.

No seriously re-read that…

And one more time just to cement it into your subconscious Much love to all of you reading this article.

Much love to all of you who are going to take this willpower concept to hard and decide to step into growth.

It starts now.
